iREPAINT is EPA RRP Certified till 3/6/2020

If your home was built prior to 12-31-1977 the EPA has deemed your home a potential lead hazard.  By law anyone who disturbs more than 6 square feet of painted surface on an interior room or more than 20 square feet per side on an exterior must be a "Lead Safe" certified firm.  iREPAINT is Volusia County's top painting business and we are EPA RRP certified to protect your family from the dangers of lead based paint.

Our objective when conducting work on surfaces pre 1978 is to minimize the creation of poisonous lead dust and capture the dust that is created during any painting project we perform.  We achieve this by hiring professional painters who know how to minimize dust creation, excel at capturing dust particles and understand a job is only completed once the jobsite has passed the cleanliness benchmarks set by the EPA Lead Safe practices.

iREPAINT tests surfaces for the presence of lead paint, this gives our customer's information to help them better understand their potential risk of exposure.  I also aim to educate my customers about the dangers of overexposure to lead paint particles.  Some companies still operate like cowboys in the wild west and potentially harm families with their cavalier attitude towards lead paint.  After 25 years of experience in the painting business I have understand the danger lead based paints pose to children.  I choose to operate ethically and iREPAINT upholds the standards outlined during the EPA RRP training program.

We follow the procedures outlined in the EPA pamphlet Steps To Lead Safe Renovation, Repair and Painting

The process involves identifying lead presence, containment of lead during set up through verifying our work with the Cleaning Verification procedure or clearance of the jobsite.  The pamphlet also contains procedures to control the accumulation of dust and debris right through to collecting the renovation trash.   The entire process is focused on the protection of workers, homeowners and children from coming in contact with the lead particulates.
